About Cubscast

Cubscast creators (from left) Lou, Sneetch, and Sheps

Cubscast, part of the Chicago Sportscast Network, is an award-winning podcast created and produced by three die-hard Chicago Cubs fans. We're dedicated to providing free, honest, and humorous team commentary as well as connecting Cubs fans worldwide to each other. Answering the call of isolated Cubs fans in places where the Superstation just won't reach, Cubscast ensures that fans everywhere can get a few minutes of high-quality Cubs sports talk each day at the touch of a button.

We produce a new episode every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the regular season and twice a week during the baseball offseason. Our updates, which contain dissections and debates on the Cubs, are downloadable to iPods or other portable listening devices...or you can just listen from your desktop computer. Cubscast - experience the Chicago Cubs without paying $8.50 for a two dollar hotdog.

Our call-in line number is (312) 239-0179 and you can reach us via email at hosts@cubscast.com. Call or e-mail anytime and leave your name and location if you'd like your comment or question to be played on the air.

About Lou

Lou is the bowling name, of...well, Lou. Based in Chicago, Lou designs and builds websites for a living. His clients consist mainly of non-profit organizations and for-profit organizations in and around Chicago. Notables include American Express, Rush North Shore Medical Center, and Equip for Equality. Lou's all-time favorite Cub is Andre Dawson, and he has at least two "The Hawk" posters, a Starting Lineup figurine, and a Dawson-endorsed chain link fence to prove it. Lou holds a BFA in Multimedia & Web Design, but more importantly he hopes his idea for a ketchup packet the size of a year-old box turtle will soon be realized. In the meantime, Lou dares to dream.

About Sheps

Sheps is a true artisan- a collector of fine wine, art, and cheeses, and the father of a unique style of dance that has yet to catch on in the Americas. While his true passion is hunting pheasant, the Cubs register a very close second. Born in Augusta, Georgia only to relocate to Illinois at the age of 6, Sheps shed his love for Dale Murphy and defecating in his pants in time to grow up as a true blue Cubs fan. His decision between the Sox and Cubs was settled shortly following his IL arrival when he opened a pack of Topps baseball cards that included a Ryne Sandberg, the only man who could replace "The Murph." Several restraining orders later, Ryno and Sheps remain friends. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, Sheps holds an MFA in screenwriting, and works his days as a development exec-type for a large, here unnamed, animation company. His current goal is to combine two existing genres into a new one, an example being "dramedy." At this printing he has had little success. Sheps has an aversion to any food that has been blanched, and his least favorite 20th century Australian colloquialism is the term "dinky-di."
