Listening to Cubscast Puts You on the Map

Closeup of Listener MapAs announced in a recent episode, we’ve added a brand new “interactive map” feature to the Cubscast website that allows you to let everyone know where you’re listening from. It works for locations in the states and around the world, so we hope Cubs fans in Oklahoma, China, Jersey City, Argentina, Chicago, England, and everywhere else try this out. To add yourself, just go to cubscast.com/map and click on “Add” at the top right of the map.

We’d love to know where you live. Not because we’re creeps, but because we care. Also, the map is as anonymous as you’d like it to be. A few people are adding their names and photos, and others are opting not to. Either way, thanks for your help and Go Cubs!

Hey guys, I purchaced an IPod finally a couple of weeks ago and love your show. In fact I’m listing to more cubs/bears/bulls and hawkcasts than I am music. I’m living in Charlotte, NC now and Cubscast is my fix for the winter with no baseball. I was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Charlotte in 2005, it’s great to be able to listen to news other then what the Tribune wants us to read about the Cubs during the offseason.

Big Ups to Aramis and Kerry for signing their new contracts. I know Aramis took his loophole and got more money but we still got him at a bargin if Furcal went for 17 million last year…How much is going to cost to land Soriano? I know his career year was last year but I’d love to see him at 2b and Carlos Lee in the outfield.

And what is it going to take to get Aramis hitting in all 162 games? I know he’s young but he’s turning into a caliber player like Aubrey Huff, only known for his 2nd half work. I love the guy, hopefully a healthy DLee will get his bat going early this year. Also, he did lead all NL 3rd baseman in fielding percentage last year, I know we will all remember the ball hitting him in the head but it’s obvious he put a lot of effort with the glove going into last year.

And to the Cub fans that have given up on Kerry…it’s well known he was on the mound and got the *W* that brought Florida into Wrigley in 03….The first Cub pitcher in 95 years to win a game that advanced us into postseason play. I’m sick of all the player hating I hear. I’d love nothing more to see him earn all 6 million in incentives getting the 45 saves and the save in the final game of the World Series.

It’s our turn to win damit!  Anyway guys just wanted to say thanx for the great work and let you know you have a new listner.
