2007 Strode Award Winners

As announced on Monday’s episode, Cubscast is proud to announce the winners of our inaugural Best Cubs Website Awards, or as we affectionately are calling them, “The Strodes.” It was a tight race in several of the categories, and after several rounds of debating amongst the Cubscast hosts, a consensus was reached that we could live with.

If you’re just finding out about these awards for the first time, see our original post to find out how the nominations were accepted and the reasoning behind us doing this. Next year we’ll be adding a few new categories based on feedback we’ve received. If your site wasn’t nominated and should have been, or if your site didn’t win and should have won, there’s always next year, friend.

I haven’t listened to the latest Cubscast so I hope the Muskat award was a joke.

Good work guys.

It’s open to interpretation…let’s put it that way. If you let your soul guide you, as Sting recommends, you’ll find the answer to your question.

You should take the award for “Best Cubs Humor Site – Desipio” back. He was a total $&% on his website (http://www.desipio.com/?p=1414).

Other than that, I think the awards were all well deserved and all around great!

As far as I can tell, nothing about winning a Strode was ever mentioned on bleedcubbieblue.com. Did you guys even tell Al that his site won the award?

Lou March 20th at 8:43 pm

@Chad – Caps lock called, and it also wants the credit to which it is due.

!!!!!!!!!

@Daver – We did notify all the winners, and Al put up a “Strode” award graphic on the left side of his homepage
