As mentioned on today’s episode, this week we are inviting everyone out there to participate in a brand new Cubscast contest.

Santa has asked us to help him determine which Cubs players and personnel (or any sports figures/personalities) have been naughty or nice in 2006 and we need your help!

To enter, call the Cubscast voicemail box at 773-828-4396 and let us know who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Don’t forget to leave your first name and the city/state you’re calling from!

Contest ends Thursday December 21st. A first prize winner, chosen by the Cubscast hosts based on humor and originality, will be announced on our special upcoming holiday episode on Christmas Eve. Santa guarantees it’s cool…but hey, it’s hard to trust a guy that claims he sees elves everywhere.

As announced in a recent episode, we’ve added a brand new “interactive map” feature to the Cubscast website that allows you to let everyone know where you’re listening from. It works for locations in the states and around the world, so we hope Cubs fans in Oklahoma, China, Jersey City, Argentina, Chicago, England, and everywhere else try this out. To add yourself, just go to cubscast.com/map and click on “Add” at the top right of the map.

We’d love to know where you live. Not because we’re creeps, but because we care. Also, the map is as anonymous as you’d like it to be. A few people are adding their names and photos, and others are opting not to. Either way, thanks for your help and Go Cubs!

As announced in today’s episode, the winner of the Cubscast Postcard Photo Contest is Christina D. from Berwyn, IL. Her number (9) was pulled in a random drawing for a brand new video iPod. Congrats, Christina!

We want to thank everyone that sent in photos of the Cubscast postcard, as well as everyone that requested up to 20 postcards via our website between July and mid-October. After the dust settled we’d sent out nearly 3,500 postcards, to listeners in nearly every state as well as listeners on 5 total continents.

Stay tuned for more contests coming up in the offseason, including some additional chances to win iPods. The postcard photos will continue to appear near the top of our homepage, so feel free to check those out!

We’re taking a brand new survey of all the Cubscast listeners out there, and we’d love for you to participate. It will help us learn more about you and what you like most about this podcast — no matter how long you’ve been a listener or how frequently you listen to the show.

As announced in today’s episode, we at Cubscast are hoping to attract new listeners, and we need your help! We’ve come up with an awesome postcard that you can give to friends, family, co-workers, etc. to help spread the word, and we’ll send you up to 20, anywhere in the world, for free!

But it gets even better. From today until October 1, 2006, e-mail us a photo of the Cubscast postcard(s) you requested taken in your hometown or anywhere in the world, and you’ll be entered into a random drawing to win a brand new iPod with video (retail $300).
